BJJ classes

Lamude BJJ offers classes for both Gi and No-Gi throughout the week for adults. Our classes are aimed at all levels from beginner to advanced. Check our timetable for class times. It's recommended that students train both Gi and No-Gi.

  • GI BJJ

Our BJJ gi classes are perfect for beginners and seasoned practitioners alike. Training in the traditional gi (kimono) teaches you to use both your own and your opponent's uniform to master takedowns, sweeps, guard passes, and submissions. You'll develop essential skills like grip control and how to strategically slow down or manage your opponent.

  • NO-GI BJJ

No-Gi, also known as submission wrestling, is a dynamic and fast-paced style of BJJ, favored by top grappling competitions like ADCC and NAGA, and widely used by MMA fighters to sharpen their skills. In our No-Gi classes, you'll train in comfortable shorts or spats and a rash guard or t-shirt, without the traditional gi. This creates a slick, high-energy environment where grip-based techniques are replaced with alternative methods to control opponents and secure submissions. Perfect for all levels

  • beginners bjj

Our Beginners BJJ classes are designed specifically for those new to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, offering a friendly and supportive introduction to the sport. With no experience required, this technique-focused class covers fundamental movements like hip escapes and basic submissions, helping you build a strong foundation. The class starts with a simple warm-up incorporating BJJ-specific movements to improve mobility and confidence. Perfect for newcomers, our Beginners BJJ class provides a safe, fun environment to learn essential skills and start your grappling journey.

  • kids no gi (ags 5 and up)

Our Kids No-Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes are a fun and active way for children ages 5 and up to build coordination, confidence, and fitness! In a supportive environment, kids learn basic BJJ techniques and movements designed to develop their agility and combat skills. Through exciting games and activities, they acquire abilities that translate to both the sport and real-world scenarios. Dressed in comfy shorts and a rash guard, your child will stay engaged while learning the fundamentals of grappling in a safe, playful setting.
